Origins of the name
In Norse mythology, Glasir is a golden tree that sits outside the doors of Odin's Valhalla (Halls of the Slain) in Asgard.
Glasir is described as the "most beautiful tree among gods and men" and at times Glasir's foliage is used as a kenning for gold.
